‘Home Alone’ House Hits the Market for $5.25 Million

Home Alone fans can celebrate Christmas early!

The five-bedroom, six-bathroom home featured in the beloved 1990 film has hit the market at $5.25 million.

The Winnetka, Illinois, property was the center of the classic holiday movie, which found 8-year-old Kevin McCallister, played by Macaulay Culkin, mistakenly left home alone after his family went on Christmas vacation.

The listing is held by Kathryn Moor and Dawn McKenna of Coldwell Banker Realty.

McKenna tells PEOPLE that the property — which also has a fully equipped gym, state-of-the-art movie theater, an indoor sports court featuring a 3-point line, and a three-car attached heated garage — is a “rare legend that lives up to its hype in every way.”

“This home has it all. It’s iconic, loaded with modern amenities, and in one of the best neighborhoods in the country,” she says.

Originally built in 1921, the 9,126-square-foot property lies behind a wrought-iron gate on a tree-lined street and boasts a flowing floor plan.

Although renovated in 2018, the home’s foyer, entry staircase, and formal living and dining room spaces “remain largely unchanged in form and structure,” the listing states.

Some of the newer add-ons include a family room with high ceilings and French doors that open to the backyard.

The kitchen has modern appliances, including an 8-burner Wolf range and an integrated Sub-Zero fridge. Away from the kitchen is a second family room, a screened-in porch with a wood-burning fireplace, and an expansive patio area overlooking the backyard.

Future homeowners also have access to two upstairs and downstairs laundry rooms and a mudroom.

Speaking about some of their favorite memories, Trisha told the outlet, “Sometimes we’ll hear the Kevin scream. It’s a lot of fun to see people as excited as they are just to see my house.”
