Christina Hall Runs Into One of Her Exes at the Hair Salon

Christina Hall bumped into one of her exes!

The Christina on the Coast star, 41, brought her followers along with her to the hair salon in a short clip shared to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, Aug. 14. In the video, she jokes about getting seated next to an ex — her first husband, Tarek El Moussa.

“When the ex shows up next to ya in the hair chair,” she wrote in white text in the caption.

El Moussa can be heard saying in the background, “Pills and potions and lotions at work,” as he caresses his hair.

Hall then jokingly asks, “Is that all your hair?” Her ex responds “yeah” with a laugh and points in her direction when he notices that she’s filming him.

Hall and El Moussa were married from 2009 to 2016 and share two children together — daughter Taylor, 13, and son Brayden, 8. Hall also shares 4-year-old son Hudson with her second husband, Ant Anstead.

The designer and Flipping 101 host starred on the fan-favorite HGTV series Flip or Flop together for nine years until it ended in March 2022. While they weren’t always on good terms after their split — especially following the infamous 2016 gun incident that ended their marriage — the pair have since made amends and are even willing to work together again.

In May, they announced that their new HGTV series, The Flip Off, would be premiering in 2025. The competition show will also star El Moussa’s current wife Heather Rae El Moussa, who Hall says she’s “close” with now after an initial rocky start to their relationship.

“We’ve actually been close for a while now,” Hall told PEOPLE exclusively in July of her friendship with Heather. “We communicate about the kids all the time. She’s an amazing stepmom — the kids love her so much.”

She added that “everything is actually boring, which is great,” especially after she and Heather hit a rough patch in 2022 when the pair were photographed getting into a heated discussion at one of Brayden’s soccer games.

Now, the two have been having fun collaborating on the over-the-top promo videos for the new show.

The upcoming series was also supposed to star Hall’s estranged husband Josh Hall before he filed for divorce due to “irreconcilable differences” on July 15, according to the filing obtained by PEOPLE. He also requested spousal support, but Christina later asked that neither party would be allowed to to request support in her own filing

While HGTV has yet to confirm how Christina and Josh’s split will alter the dynamic of the show, multiple sources confirmed to PEOPLE that the mom of three returned to film without her husband later in July.

On Friday, Aug. 9, Christina shared a personal update with her Instagram followers on how she was holding up nearly one month after the split.

“One month later … I finally have my appetite back. I’m exercising again. My kids are happy and our house feels like home,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories. “’Those poor kids’ adore me … anyone who knows us for real knows this and that’s what matters.”

The HGTV host added that she’s “laughed more than I have in forever” recently on nights out with friends and that “work is going so good it feels like a dream.”
