Chris Olsen Explains Why He Broke Silence After ‘Revenge Porn’ Leak

Chris Olsen continues to tell his side of the story regarding the nonconsensual circulation of his explicit photos and videos.

The TikTok star, 26, appeared on Wednesday’s episode of Call Her Daddy to discuss how he’s handled the scandal, which he’s previously called an instance of revenge porn. Olsen explained to host Alex Cooper that after he got sober and lost a significant amount of weight, he started sharing photos of his body online.

He received offers to casually collaborate with photographers, and Olsen said he enjoyed working with several of the professionals. He continued to note that in one instance, a photographer asked him to sign a release form before starting the shoot, which no other cameraman had required before.

While then-19-year-old Olsen was taken aback by the request, he said he didn’t want to “upset this older guy” and ultimately signed the form.

“And then we’re taking photos, and it gets to a point where he’s asking a little bit more than I had been comfortable with and that I had wanted to do,” he recounted on the podcast. “But again, what I learned over those past few years is the best thing you can do is not feel too loudly about something. So, just quietly do what is gonna cause the least noise.”

A month later, the content creator received a DM from someone complimenting the photo, and the photographer admitted the image was posted on his website. When Olsen asked for it to be removed, the man said it was in the signed release, but he agreed to take it down.

“He essentially just made me feel like, ‘I’ll do you the favor,'” Olsen told Cooper. “And I was like, ‘Okay, I’m sorry.’ I ended up apologizing.”

Despite feeling “really icky,” he tried to move on from the situation. But once he rose to fame on social media, people started resurfacing the photos. A user on X also posted the explicit content, but when Olsen requested they be removed, the account owner blocked him and posted again.

“He tweets, ‘I’m going to take Chris’ photos down in 30 minutes. Download them now.’ And so I was like, it’s over,” Olsen said, adding that the X account had around 40,000 followers.

Initially, Olsen didn’t want to respond when the photos circulated again, but he felt compelled to speak on his own experience.

“The violation is there. I feel violated. It’s out. How much worse can it get by me telling you how this makes me feel now?” he said. “Because I think there is too much of this idea that we’re supposed to remain unfazed and be that b—- and be like, ‘You guys can’t touch me.'”

He continued, “I actually don’t even feel like that … I feel like the 6-year-old or the 12-year-old or the 15-year-old that everyone is pointing and laughing at right now, and I’m going to share how this makes me feel.”

Indeed, Olsen has discussed the scandal on social media. He first addressed the matter on July 23. In a tearful TikTok video, Olsen described the situation as “non-consensual,” “violating” and “illegal.”

On Aug. 11, he posted a statement to Instagram and TikTok and said that he “never was a porn star” and that he “never consensually agreed to any of these photos or videos [of himself] being released on the internet.”

In his post, Olsen recapped his encounter with the photographer. The TikToker maintained that he “didn’t know how to say no” because the photographer had the “power.”

Days earlier, Olsen told PEOPLE he was no longer “actively in pain about it most of the time.”

“I’m almost kind of numb to it because it seems to be happening to so many people,” Olsen said on Aug. 2. “It’s sad to me that I don’t even have that many feelings about it anymore because I’ve had to desensitize myself.”
