Mamie Laverock is home from the hospital.

The milestone moment was shared on her official Facebook page on Monday, Aug. 19. The news comes three months after the When Calls the Heart actress, 20, fell five stories from a balcony in May.

“Dreams do come true. Welcome Home Mamie,” the post was captioned alongside a photo of a handmade ‘Home Sweet Home’ sign featuring a picture of Laverock.

The sign was placed beneath a pink streamer banner, along with a photo of a table decorated with a purple tablecloth, a rainbow and daisy balloon arch and a rainbow cake with white frosting containing multi-colored candles.

“She’s still severely injured but we will take care of her privately,” her Facebook page responded to one of the comments on the post. “She needed to be at home. So happy for her. She made it this far… next chapter. It’s a blessing to have her home.”

The update in Laverock’s recovery follows the star standing up and taking her first steps since the accident in a video captured on Friday, Aug. 2.

“Thank you surgeon’s, thank you prayers, thank you Lord. Mamie has just taken her first steps,” the caption read. In the clip, Laverock was flanked by two medical staff as she sat on a hospital bed wearing air casts on each leg while surrounded by her family.

The staff then wheeled Laverock’s walker in front of her and she stood up to huge cheers from her loved ones. The star went on to admit that the sensation felt “very weird” and she felt “very wobbly,” but she was soon taking a few steps with her walker.

“Oh my gosh, feet, moving. Moving feet,” someone behind the camera can be heard saying.

Laverock was left in critical condition after falling five stories from a balcony walkway on May 26.

According to a GoFundMe campaign created by her family, which has since shut down, on May 11 the actress was transported by her mother Nicole Rockmann to a Winnipeg hospital due to a “medical emergency.” She was then transferred to a Vancouver hospital and at the time her family stated her recovery was “unclear” but that she was “alive” and “showing signs of improvement.”

Details of Laverock’s fall were then shared in an update on the page later that month.

“We are deeply saddened to report that on May 26th, Mamie, who has been in intensive treatment for the past two weeks, was escorted out of a secure unit of the hospital and taken up to a balcony walkway from which she fell five stories,” the update from her mother, father John Laverock and stepfather Rob Compton read.

Laverock and her family have been documenting the star’s recovery on social media ever since her accident, including her celebrating her 20th birthday in the hospital on July 8.

“It’s a miracle,” her mother Rockmann previously told PEOPLE of being able to hug her daughter on her special day,
